Thank God!? The Dwightmare Ends!

By the power vested in me, I can finally lift a rather annoying burden off my shoulders by knowing that I won't have to wake up to ESPN every morning, and listen to a new rumor pop up every hour regarding the walking definition of indecisiveness that is Dwight Howard. Granted it wasn't all on Dwight as it ultimately came down to the Magic front office to pull the trigger on the deal. But in all honesty, Howard left them with little to work with given that he made it extremely public that he only had a few destinations that interested him which ultimately made most potential suitors back away. On a side note, I still think the Magic should have taken Houstons deal considering it looks much better then what they're getting back now. I mean Houston was literally offering them half their roster which had multiple young and athletic prospects that included Royce White and Jeremy Lamb. But before this post turns into more of a trollfest then it already has, I'd just like to end it off here. If notorious viliians have taught us anything(not just referring to sports here), it's that the more we think about them, the more we want to rip their guts out for whatever reason. And while I don't see Howard as a bona fide villiain ala Lebron, we can all agree that for all the torment he put the Magic and multiple other franchises through over the last HOWEVER long it's been(because its gone on for such a long time that even I don't remember where it began) he pisses us off just as much as (insert real life or fictional villain). The bottom line I'm trying to get at here is that it's finally over, and lets not look any more into it then that. Feel free to take a look at how this impacts the ACTUAL game of basketball (we still do that right?), and not just rage about Howard because the more that we as the common sports fan dwell on the non basketball aspect of the drama that resulted as a result of Dwight Howard, the more time we're going to waste and rotting away spewing Lebron like hate. As a common sports fan simply sharing his opinion, I say it's time to get back to the game of basketball that we have come to love.
